Food Safety

Food safety is Scanflavour's priority number 1.

We strictly operate our system for food safety. All actions are based on a risk assessment and the accompanying HACCP-plan.

All our products are not causing any allergy and are of course produced by using GMO free raw materials. The natural raw materials are originated from unconditionally veterinarian-approved pigs supplied from veterinarian authorized slaughterhouses and meat processing plant in Denmark and the rest of the European Union.

All products are fully traceable and meet or exceed most international, local and regional quality, safety and environmental standards. Our Quality Management System guarantees complete traceability of every batch produced.


Scanflavour has achieved the most distinguished approval for food products in the world as our food production facility is certified to supply most of the world eg. EU and USDA. The visible sign of this is our official seal code: DK 215 EØF. For more information please consult: Approved establisment according to EU regulation no 853/2004.

Scanflavour is authorized to produce e.g. the following products of food grade:

  • Protein powder of animal origin
  • Gelatine
  • Collagen
  • Natural flavour
  • Bouillion (broth/stock)

We are regularly audited by a veterinarian from the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration and are awarded with the highest possible rank “Elite smiley”. For more information please consult

Furthermore our management system for food safety is approved by third part according to the requirements in the Food Safety Scheme FSSC 22000, ISO 22000 and ISO/TS 22002 We are routinely audited by third part assessors from the accreditation body Bureau Veritas.
